Tagkeys introduces a new implementation for Tagkeys, available only to registered users of Tagkeys...Tagkeys Portable!
Designed specifically for Tagkey users on the go, Tagkeys Portable allows you to install and run Tagkeys from a Pen Drive, Removable Drive, or any other portable or permanent media.

Load-up Tagkeys Portable with all your passwords, data snippets, favorite websites, etc. and take them with you anywhere you go!  Run Tagkeys directly from your Pen Drive without having to load or install anything on any PC.  Tagkeys Portable uses a Tagset database installed on the Pen Drive so nothing is left behind when you are done.  Save all your changes from Tagkeys Portable back to your Permanent Tagkeys program using Tagkey's Import / Export utility (available in your registered version of Tagkeys).

Using Tagkeys Portable...

1. Download TagkeysPortable.exe (Save a permanent copy on your PC for multiple deployments).

2. Copy TagkeysPortable.exe to any drive where you want to install it (on your Pen Drive, Portable Drive, or any other PC Media).  NOTE: This installation file will automatically create a subdirectory called "Tagkeys Portable" under the location that you load this installation file.

3. Run TagkeysPortable.exe - The installation file will install Tagkeys, a portable Tagkeys database, and all support files, in the same location as the installation file, and then automatically delete itself (saves memory space on portable drives).

4. Export any Tagsets you want to use with Tagkeys portable (it is recommended that you close your registered version of Tagkeys while running Tagkeys Portable on the same PC) and import them into Tagkeys Portable.

5. That's it, you are ready to go!  Insert your Pen Drive containing Tagkeys Portable into any PC and run Tagkeys.

SPECIAL NOTES ABOUT TAGKEYS PORTABLE:

1. Tagkeys Portable is a full implementation of Tagkeys, with all files (executable, support files, and database) loaded into a single directory (with a smaller sample database).  When loaded on a permanent drive (such as your "C" drive), the only difference between Tagkeys Portable and regular Tagkeys is that Tagkeys Portable will not create any shortcuts or run the Tagkeys Tutorial (Tagkeys Portable can be registered, but it is not required, when installed on a permanent drive).  If, after installing Tagkeys Portable, you wish to move it to a new location, be sure and copy ALL files located under the "Tagkeys Portable" directory to the new location (it is not necessary to change any INI or Registry files when moving Tagkeys Portable).

2. Tagkeys Portable "knows" if it is loaded on a removable drive (such as a Pen Drive) and if so, will not allow you to register it or perform (or prompt you to perform) database backups (either manually or automatically) - this is done so that none of your Tagkey information can be accidentally left behind on someone else's PC.
